Elderswell Retirement Village, a state- of-the-art retirement village designed to provide a comfortable and supportive environment for over 65s, has been shortlisted for best supported housing development. Built by Countryside Partnerships for Inspired Villages, the £35.7 million project provides 128 homes comprising of one-, two, and three- bedroom apartments and varied communal facilities.

Formerly the derelict site of the Ford stamping plant in Dagenham, our site in partnership with L&Q, Beam Park, which will deliver 3,900 new homes, 50% of which are affordable, has been shortlisted for the Best Regeneration category. Beam Park is one of London’s largest live construction sites and alongside much needed homes will provide extensive amenities for the existing local community and new residents.

Our West London development, Oaklands Rise, which sits at the centre of the £26 billion Old Oak and Royal Park development, one of the UK’s largest regeneration projects, has been shortlisted in the best development category. Completed in August 2022, the site now provides a total of 605 new homes – 40% affordable and 60% Build to Rent, as well as 3,500sqm of active mixed-use commercial space.

Also shortlisted for the best development category is our flagship site, Greenwich Millennium Village. Over the last 23 years, Countryside Partnerships and Taylor Wimpey Central London, have been transforming a 300-acre former brownfield site to deliver over 2,800 high quality new homes, of which 30% are affordable. The scheme also offers a number of wheelchair-adaptable homes, which are exclusively advertised for six months, highlighting the GMV’s commitment to creating homes that suit the needs of all.

Our final development shortlisted for the best development category is Whitely Meadows in Hampshire.  This impressive development offers a range of one, two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes to meet a range of needs.

Our site team at Bay View in Northam, Devon has been shortlisted for best development team. Bay View offers two-, four- and five-bedroom homes, alongside areas of green open space and park land.

Finally, we are proud to have three developments shortlisted in the best partnership category for our strong working relationship with various valued partners. Nominated as the preferred bidder for Hengrove Park, our 50/50 joint venture with Goram Homes is set to provide around 1,400 high quality new homes in South Bristol. Also located in Bristol, Blackberry Hill is a landmark development to transform the former Blackberry Hill Hospital and create 346 homes in partnership with Homes England, Bristol City Council and Sovereign Housing Association. Our last partnership recognised with Warwick District Council and Local Housing Company, Milverton Homes, will enable the building of 620 much-needed homes in Kenilworth. Working together with our range of partners, we strive to create a sustainable community which is built to last and provides a great mix of high quality, sustainable, affordable and private homes for the regions we operate.

A huge thank you to all our teams across the UK whose hard work and dedication has resulted in such widespread recognition of the sustainable long-term communities we are committed to delivering.
