Vistry’s team of experts have been shortlisted in the Royal Town Planning Institute’s (RTPI) annual awards.
The group has been shortlisted in the In-House Planning Team of the Year category and the winner will be announced at an awards ceremony on Wednesday, November 30th in London.
The three teams who have made it onto the shortlist are being judged on a number of criteria including the use of innovative techniques, a commitment to equality and diversity and client satisfaction.
The team has been nominated just two years after it was formed as a result of the creation of the Vistry Group.
The new group of specialists started working together against the backdrop of the Covid pandemic and had to deal with challenges posed by government restrictions.
The industry experts work on every aspect of the process from identifying suitable land for development, through public consultation and the planning application process.
The specialists also get involved in many aspects of Vistry’s business including sustainability, diversity and inclusion.
Fiona Milden, Vistry’s group planning director, said: “We are proud of our record of delivering sustainable new homes and communities across all sectors of the UK’s housing sector.
“Vistry Group is currently active on 200 sites across England and we deal pro-actively with residents, local planning authorities and other stakeholders.
“We are also proud of the fact that women are strongly represented across the team and the company.”
The category winners will be announced and celebrated on Wednesday 30 November at The Mermaid, 2 Puddle Dock, London EC4V 3DB at 6:30pm.
