Vistry Group colleagues take on Mount E-Vistry

Colleagues from across the entire Vistry business put their best feet forward to raise awareness and raise funds for our chosen charity Alzheimer’s Society.

By the time World Alzheimer’s Day came round we had already raised £200,000 for the charity through cake bakes, golf days, head shaves and many, many more challenges. But this week we not only marked the awareness day to help tackle the international dementia challenge of sharing best practice to end the debilitating condition, but we also boosted our fundraising total.

We came together as one Vistry to participate in a group wide initiative ‘Mount E-Vistry’ – a challenge to climb hills, mountains, stairs and even step machines to reach the equivalent height of Everest as one Vistry team.
Rain and shine, from coast to city, our teams took part across the country (and even into Europe).

One team climbed Snowdon while another climbed to the top of the Arcelormittal Orbit. Some individuals rose to the challenge at their local gym while others trekked further afield like Crete. Many worked in teams to summit local hills or office stairs while others worked independently to conquer 50km walks and Serpentine swims.

Whatever the challenge, we worked as a team, contributing to the huge total of elevation miles and equally huge total in fundraising.
