The Mayor of Chelmsford returns to Beaulieu to launch Chelmsford Mildmay Rotary Club’s Santa Sleigh tour

Mayor of Chelmsford, Councillor Linda Mascot, attended the launch of Chelmsford Mildmay Rotary Club’s annual Santa Sleigh tour at Beaulieu – Countryside Partnerships and L&Q’s impressive development in Chelmsford.

Returning for its third year, the tour was officially launched by the Mayor of Chelmsford waving the sleigh off from Beaulieu Community Centre.

Comprising 12 nights, Chelmsford Mildmay Rotary Club’s festive expedition seeks to raise vital funds for local charities. Visiting various destinations across Chelmsford in the lead up to Christmas, Santa’s Sleigh will be bringing Christmas cheer to North Springfield, Beaulieu and Channels, Boreham, Ford End, Little Waltham and Great Waltham.

Fundraising for The Children’s Society East (Hidden Harm) – a fantastic organisation that works with young people across Essex who live with parents with drug or alcohol addiction, or parental or carer mental health issues – as well as other local charities, the tour will be visiting: Goldenacres, Stablecroft, Paddock Drive, Trenchard Crescent (7th December), Sainsbury’s Superstore (9th December), Channels Drive, Brassie Wood, Mashie Link, Jigger Gardens, Fairway Drive (12th December), Boreham: Butterfly Road Shops (14th December), Channels Area (15th December), Morrisons Superstore (16th December), Ford End (17th December) as well as Great Waltham and Little Waltham (18th December),Boreham: Orchard Way, Centenary Way, Wilfred Waterman Way, Robert Finch Crescent, Minns Avenue (20th December) before then completing the tour on 21st December at Centenary Way, Linge Avenue and Regiment Gate.
