Vistry Group shortlisted for six categories at Housebuilder Awards 2023

We are proud to announce that we have been shortlisted in six categories at this year’s Housebuilder Awards, with a variety of important initiatives and flagship schemes recognised.

The Housebuilder Awards, jointly established by Housebuilder Magazine, the Home Builders Federation and in partnership with NHBC, recognises innovation and excellence in British housebuilding and is one of the most important events in the industry.

Our thriving new neighbourhood, The Mountbatten at St Luke’s Park, which comprises circa 575 homes across 200 acres of transformed land, has been shortlisted in the Best Design for three storeys or fewer category. Located on the outskirts of Runwell, Essex, St Luke’s Park is designed to create an exceptional setting for modern living by providing community amenities as well as new education facilities.

Brunel Street Works in London has been shortlisted for best design in the four storeys or more category, highlighting the success of our joint venture with Metropolitan Thames Valley and partnership with housebuilder L&Q. Now complete, the site provides 975 mixed-tenure homes and 9,000sqm of mixed-use and community space, including a 152- bedroom premier inn.

Our vibrant London development, The Clocktower at St Clements, has been shortlisted for the best refurbishment category. The building forms part of St Clemet’s Hospital, a former workhouse infirmary in Bow, East London and through a major refurbishment, the Grade II Listed site has undergone transformational changes to deliver 252 new homes and stands out as one of Vistry’s most remarkable projects.

Shortlisted for best community initiative, Destiny is the Vistry Group’s virtual work experience offer, delivering an immersive, engaging and informative online platform designed to provide young people with employability skills and showcasing the breadth of career opportunities in the industry. Fundamentally funded by the Vistry Group, Destiny has been designed for Year 10+ students aged 14 and above.

Vistry Group has also been shortlisted for the best staff development award through its commitment to mental health. Over the last 12 months we have worked hard to enhance the support on offer to employees in multiple ways, including monthly cost-of-living payment to help alleviate financial pressures, a wide variety of resources such as a mental wellbeing app and ongoing support to charity PAPYRUS.

Lastly, Farrah Hussain, Senior Development Manager for Countryside Partnerships has been nominated for the Housebuilder star award. Farrah joined the organisation in January 2021 and has been vital in leading one of our flagship London developments, Beam Park. Across the Vistry Group, we aim to create an environment where people feel supported to achieve their best and Farrah is a fantastic example of this.
