The Sherford development in Plymouth was crowned winner in both the Sustainability and Social Impact and the Placemaking categories whilst the Woodlands in Barrow Gurney was also a winner in the Small Residential Development of the Year category at this year’s South West Insider Residential Property Awards 2023.
The awards showcase the best work carried out in the region, covering property projects across the whole of the South West, from the Cornish coast to Bristol.
Sherford was awarded the Sustainability and Social Impact Award, which recognises the project that has had a significant positive impact on the local community and has shown a commitment to sustainability. South West Business Insider reported that, "judges selected Sherford because of the sheer size of the project and its attempts to achieve sustainability and social impact at such a vast scale."
It also won the Place-making Award, which is for a project that demonstrates places that really 'work in the round'; spaces where communities thrive thanks to providing the right areas in which individuals can meet and interact and navigate easily, and public spaces that promote people's health, happiness and wellbeing.
Woodlands in Barrow Gurney also took home the winning award in the Small Residential Development of the Year category, which is for projects between 21 and 100 units and that goes beyond the norm in its design and delivery. Woodlands is our joint venture development with Wates Developments.
As well as these wins, we are also pleased to have been shortlisted in the Large Residential Development of the Year category for Monument View in Wellington.
Well done to all of our teams, partners and those within our communities for this worthy win.
