Vistry acquired two plots of land in Keresley in September 2023 with a view to building 550 family homes across the two sites. Vistry has received the green light to develop 290 mixed-tenure homes on the first site which promises to enrich the area with a wide range of high-quality family homes.
Adam Sharpe, managing director for Vistry South West Midlands, said: “We are excited to have secured planning permission for this phase of the development in Keresley which promises to help meet the housing demand in the area.
“There is a significant need for new, high-quality, housing across multiple tenures in this area and this is a major step forward in meeting that demand. We know that buyers from all walks of life will relish the opportunity to live in modern family homes and to be part of a vibrant and well-connected new community.”
As well as creating much-needed new housing for the area, Vistry is investing heavily in the local community with a commitment to provide at least 25% affordable homes and £7,841,746 to bolster local services including education, healthcare, highways, biodiversity offsetting measures and parks.
Work will start on the 290 mixed-tenure homes later this summer with planning permission for 260 homes on the second phase of work expected to be granted later this year.
