Vistry’s Countryside Partnerships’ brand, together with Paradigm will be delivering 196 new homes in total – a mix of both private and affordable with the affordable homes split between affordable rent and shared ownership tenures. Working with Homes England and Paradigm Housing to accelerate the delivery of affordable housing at Tattenhoe Park, the first homes within this phase are anticipated to be completed in summer 2025.
Within the latest phase, a range of 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom affordable homes will be delivered. Whilst the private homes will be a mix of 2, 3, 4 and 5-bedroom homes. The village-style neighbourhood will feature a range of amenities and facilities in the wider Tattenhoe Park site.
Tattenhoe Park is set in a highly sought-after location of Milton Keynes bordering the beautiful Tattenhoe Valley Park and a play park and green open space is planned within the development. With the M1, A421 and A5 all within close proximity, the development is well connected, with the amenities of Milton Keynes town centre also close by. Additionally, there is a primary school and nursery on-site and the surrounding area is well served by an excellent selection of highly regarded schools.
The latest phase is a significant milestone for Vistry following the highly successful launch of phase 3 at Tattenhoe Park in 2022. Work is anticipated to start on site at the end of 2024 and be completed in the summer of 2027.
Verity MacMahon, managing director, Vistry Central Home Counties, said: “Receiving planning permission for phase 7 of Tattenhoe Park is a great reflection of the collaborative partnership between Vistry and our partners Homes England and Paradigm and we are thrilled to have reached this latest milestone. We are very proud to be delivering a mix of homes that reflects local needs at Tattenhoe, alongside the facilities a new development needs to create a sustainable, long-lasting community for the residents of Milton Keynes.”
Martyn Jones, executive director for development, Paradigm comments: “With the new government putting the dire need for social housing at the heart of its agenda, it’s more important than ever to be involved in the creation of new homes. Our work with Countryside Partnerships and Homes England at Tattenhoe Park will provide at least 59 affordable homes in a highly sought-after location. It’s just one part of our commitment to working to overcome the housing emergency, and we’re currently partnering with the wider Vistry Group at six sites to deliver over 500 properties over the next six years – with hopefully more in the pipeline.”
Jon Irvine, director – development, Homes England said: “As the government’s housing and regeneration agency, our focus is to work with partners up and down the country on our mission to drive housing and regeneration, creating high quality homes and thriving places where people can live, work and grow.”
"The latest milestone at Tattenhoe Park is testament to the collaborative nature of our relationship with Vistry and Paradigm Housing and shows our mission in action."
