Vistry Group have signed up to a further year of working alongside Women into Construction – the independent not-for-profit organisation that promotes gender equality in construction.

Women into Construction provides bespoke support to women wishing to work in the construction industry and assists companies to recruit highly motivated, trained women. Vistry has committed to a platinum membership which will continue to provide opportunities for the company to work with the organisation to provide training at all levels of the business.

The agreement also offers a bespoke employment programme where 15 women can be supported for vacancies in Vistry or across its supply chain.
Alongside these offerings are mentoring opportunities and speaker opportunities to support women in the company with learning and development and reach out to promote the company to attract more talented women to enter construction through various pathways with Vistry.

Vistry group people director Danica Mclean says: “I am very proud of our relationship with Women into Construction, the successful placements that we have made in the past, and the wonderful work they do to embrace and create positive change in the construction sector.

“I am delighted that we are able to continue our membership with WiC, at Platinum level, and we are already looking forward to a larger number of on-site placements at Vistry sites over the next 12 months. We hope that these will transition into more permanent opportunities for these ambitious women, who will have opportunities to develop and grow as future leaders here at Vistry.”
