Located one mile from Manchester city centre, Brunswick is a landmark scheme and the UK’s final Private Finance Initiative project. It will bring much-needed investment and renewal to a part of the city that is within walking distance of Piccadilly Station.
The project, which we are delivering with our joint venture partners S4B, will provide more than 500 homes in total. We have already completed more than 170 of these.
Brunswick will also create new roads, pedestrian footpaths, play areas, recreational space and cycle routes, helping to connect the area to the rest of the city. The existing shops in Brunswick will be refurbished and extensive landscaping will help to transform the neighbourhood.
Additionally, we are constructing a new 60 room extra care centre that will replace the existing Elizabeth Yarwood Court retirement home.
The scheme will create a neighbourhood for people to live and work combining affordable, open market and social homes supported by a housing office.
