The first site, Glynswood, will provide 50 affordable homes, whilst the second, Booker, will provide 39 affordable homes. The sites will be delivered as 100% affordable housing and have a combined GDV of £32.1m. Work on both sites is expected to start imminently, with construction due to end by May 2024.
The two High Wycombe sites follow the recent announcement in January that Countryside Partnerships and Paradigm Homes will also be building 208 new homes in Hertfordshire.
Commenting, Nick Laugharne, Managing Director of Countryside Partnerships Home Counties West, said:“We’re delighted to be working again in partnership with Paradigm to deliver these two allocated sites in Buckinghamshire. Glynswood and Booker will make a real contribution to the affordable homes provision in the area, offering local people a range of genuinely affordable home ownership and rented opportunities.”
Martyn Jones, Paradigm’s Executive Director for Development & Sales, said:“I’m so pleased that we’ve just completed two more acquisitions with Countryside Partnerships, this time both sites being around High Wycombe. We’re really looking forward to providing even more affordable homes than the original planning permissions required at both sites, which should help a greater number of people as we all work through the cost-of-living crisis.”
Mark Winn, Buckinghamshire Council’s Cabinet Member for Homelessness and Regulatory Services, said:"This collaboration between Paradigm Housing and Countryside Partnerships will deliver a significant number of new affordable homes in High Wycombe. The Glynswood and Clay Lane developments will offer a variety of affordable rental options for families in need and low-cost shared ownership opportunities for those ready to take their first step onto the property ladder. These new developments underscore our unwavering commitment to tackling housing challenges and enhancing the well-being of our community in the area."
