Bovis Homes and Linden Homes, which are building new homes at the location off Stone Road, invited people to enjoy festive treats at the ‘Welcome the Warmth this Winter’ event.
The housebuilders, which are part of Vistry Group, organised a street food van to serve hot drinks and refreshments to visitors. People could also view the show homes and find out about the properties on sale – and also discover how a new-build house can help them save money on heating during the winter, due to its energy-efficient features.
Freya Halsall, marketing manager at Vistry Mercia, said: “It was great to welcome people in the local community during the festive period and celebrate this time of year together.
“The event was a great success, with guests enjoying the range of warming winter refreshments including gingerbread-spiced hot chocolate, mince pies and pigs-in-blanket rolls.
“We were also able to showcase what the site has to offer and how people can make significant savings on their energy bills in a new-build home compared to an older property.”
A new show home at Partridge Walk opened last month. The Knightley is a spacious four-bedroom detached home by Linden Homes which is perfect for families and those needing more space. It complements Bovis Homes’ three-bedroom Cypress and four-bedroom Juniper show homes which are already open.
There’s currently a choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes for sale at Partridge Walk, with selected plots available under the Home Stepper shared ownership scheme.
This initiative supports eligible buyers to get on the property ladder, allowing them to buy a share of the house and pay rent on the remaining part. Two, three and four-bedroom homes are available to reserve, with prices for a 50 per cent share in a two-bedroom home currently from £109,998.
