Vistry Group secures planning approval from Brentwood Borough Council to deliver 182 mixed-tenure homes in Essex
Vistry Group, the UK’s leading provider of affordable mixed-tenure homes, has secured detailed planning permission from Brentwood Borough Council for a site at Doddinghurst Road in Brentwood which will deliver 182 high-quality mixed-tenure homes.
The site will include a mix of private and affordable housing, ensuring accessibility for a wide range of residents. Of the 182 homes being delivered 64 affordable and 118 will be for private sale.
Alongside new homes, the site will also deliver a southern parcel that will be cleared in part and transformed into a greenspace with pathways. Additional open spaces, a play area, and proposed seating will also be provided throughout the development, reinforcing Vistry’s commitment to creating sustainable, long-term communities.

Construction is expected to commence in early 2026, with the first homes anticipated for completion in winter 2026.
